Rupert, Trinidad 🇹🇹, Barbados 🇧🇧, and Antigua

This is the newest addition to our family...Rupert, a chocolate lab from the animal shelter. He’s a perfect fit for us. He’s a bit older, but still has enough spirit to play, and go for long walks. I’ve only heard him bark twice. Sometimes he whines when he needs to get out of his kennel to use the loo, or when he first comes in from outside, or yawns. Lily calls him "Woopert" which is just about the cutest thing.

Watching Ryan with his dog is just one of the cutest things too.

This months culinary travels: 🇯🇵 Japan 🇯🇵 with fried rice and wontons
and Barbados 🇧🇧, Antigua, and Trinidad 🇹🇹 with Pelau, a rice coconut meal with some friends. It was delicious! A friend in our ward served there and did a wonderful job teaching us about the area and culture. It was very cool.

Kite flying and bits of string

I came into the girls room after putting Jacob down for a nap and found a veritable spiders web of yarn. They insisted it was the only way to untangle the skein.
We live in a very windy area...perfect for kite flying.

Sickies

We got the flu just after Amy’s birthday, and it passed through the family. It hit the little kids the hardest, and we’ve been finding them asleep in the oddest places. If you say the word "nap" there is a revolt, but if you happen to fall asleep in the box you’re playing in, it’s all good.
